Hi, Melody, thank you for talking with MWHC.

MELODY
Thanks, it's my pleasure to be here to talk
about the new season hair fashion line.

MWHC
Yes, tell us about that. I understand it's called
the "Good Energy" hair trend for the new season.
How did you come up with that concept?

MELODY
Clients always tell me, Melody, you have such great
energy, they feel comfortable with me - almost like
they don't need to see a psychologist.
(laughs)
But seriously, I have a lot of trust and good feeling
with my clients, many of them quite long term. And I
feel as if when I work on someone's color, some of that
positivity comes through artistically.

MWHC
Tell us about your first model. Did she come to you as a
brunette?

MELODY
She's young, she works for Hooters, she's a student, so she wanted something that fit her lifestyle. She said to me that it was very hard for people to give her the combination she was looking for which were elements of red, blonde and chocolate brown. So I wanted to brighten her face and enhance the color of her eyes and bring out her skin tone.

And your next model is actually blonde.

MELODY
She came to me as a blonde with a big roots problem. She didn't like the tonality of her hair. She wanted to stay blonde but she wanted different kinds of blonde including gold but nuetral tones with a little bit ash, but not to be too grayish.

And your final model. She's a long term client?

MELODY
Yes, Amanda, she's been coming to me for 9 years and during that time we've done many changes including long hair to short hair, different colors and tonalities.

MWHC
And currently, you gave her a red hair.

MELODY
Yes, she has two tones of red, the dark around the face and around the her head. I did a diamond shape with bright copper red. Since Amanda works in a college office environment that is free and academic, it is a look she is pleased with. And as a makeup artist she can now coordinate her make up with her hair.

So we have a brunette, a blonde and a red head plus variations thereine.

MELODY
Yes, that's what my new season Good Energy hair trend is all about. Multifacetted with lots of positive energy and emotion in the color.
